Location: The Outdoor School is secluded yet convenient. It lies just west of Marble Falls at Camp Champions, near the geographic heart of Texas. We are 45 miles from Austin, 90 miles from San Antonio and approximately 240 miles from Dallas, Fort Worth and Houston. If your group needs bus transportation, please let us know! We can assist in arranging it!
Setting: The beautiful Texas Hill Country provides the backdrop for The Outdoor School. Over 80 acres of native trees, grasses and wildflowers cover the northern end of the School, which provides habitat for raccoons, deer and other wildlife. Picturesque Lake LBJ, filled with fish and other aquatic life, forms our southern border. The 20 acre heart of the School boasts thick, green lawns, towering sycamores and leafy cottonwoods.
Cabins: Our 27 cabins are rustic and fun. Designed specifically with children's needs in mind, each cabin sits along the lake in a village area. These areas allow groups to develop a feeling of community and allow adults to monitor their students. Cabins comfortably sleep fourteen in bunk beds, with restroom and shower facilities just a short stroll away. Each cabin is also equipped with a ceiling fan for those warmer times of year.
Food: Our experienced chefs prepare delicious and healthy meals, made with high quality ingredients and served in our spacious dining facility. We'll make sure your students are properly refueled in our cafeteria, the "Fillin' Station"!
